Who can hire a canoe or kayak?
You must be able to swim to participate in our canoe/kayak hire. We provide basic instructions and safety briefings before you set out on the water. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
What safety measures are in place?
Ensuring your safety is our priority. Each craft undergoes thorough maintenance and inspection. We provide high-quality buoyancy aids and sanitize all equipment after each use. In addition, we have a safety boat on the water at all times, with a qualified person ready to assist if needed. Our team will conduct a mandatory comprehensive safety briefing to ensure you have a secure and enjoyable experience on the water.
Is there an age restriction for hiring?
The person booking and paying for the hire must be 18 or over. The person hiring will be the designated responsible adult and will take responsibility for themselves and everyone in the group. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who remains responsible for them.
How to book and where to park on arrival?
To book your session, simply complete the booking form on our website. Parking is available at our lakeside and hotel parking areas. Please proceed to the hotel reception for further guidance.
Do you offer accommodation and lunch options?
Tyn y Cornel Hotel offers accommodation bookings that should be arranged in advance via reception at 01654 782282 or through the website www.tynycornel.com. The hotel provides lunch service from 12 PM to 2:30 PM, along with a variety of light bar snacks available throughout the day.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Every attempt will be made to ensure all courses run; however, boat hire and activities are weather-dependent. No refunds will be given in case of bad weather unless we cancel the activities due to conditions that are deemed unsafe. We will offer a full refund or, with your consent, transfer your booking to another time.
Can I cancel or amend my booking?
48-Hour Notice: If you cancel your booking more than 48 hours before the activity start date, you are entitled to a refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 48 hours of the start date.
24-Hour Rearrangement: If you cancel within 24 hours of the start date, your booking can be rearranged but not refunded.
